my name a jonathan dine and i'm a libertarian candidate for the united states senate. like many of you, i'm tired of the constant fighting of the republicans and democrats. beating the other team has become more important. america is now on the verge of a financial collapse and both parties are to blame with their wreckless tax, borrow and spend policies. neither party seriously about balancing the budget or lowering your taxes or restoring your personal freedom. for as long as i can remember, republican and democrat politicians offering up solutions. higher and higher taxes. enough is enough. as a libertarian senator, i will stand up for your personal freedom, i'm socially accepting and tolerance. i'm also fiscalally responsible. i'm tired of the wreckless spending and the wreckless earmarks as your senator, i will vote no to wreckless spending, vote no to any legislation where spending exceeds revenue. i will advocate on the part of the balanced budget amendment. the government should live within its means just like the people of missouri. supporting my candidacy mea

he would not let it get to the united states congress to vote on. why? because they will not voted for a single solitary reduction in the debt if it includes $1 in new taxes for millionaires. not even one dollar. that is the fact. [audience: boo] i do not need your boos. i need your votes and organization. [cheers and applause] i love how they bleat over the national debt. they are so concerned about it now. mitt romney, when asked if he had a plan to reduce the national debt if it included $10 in reduction of federal spending and $1 in the reduction of the debt, he said no. this is not on the level. these guys are not about to vote to reduce the national debt or have a plan if it requires millionaires to pay a cent. the amazing thing is that they are concerned. what is even more amazing, i watched at their convention, is that they have discovered the middle class. it was like, my god, there's a middle class. there it is. there it is. i never heard those guys use the phrase "middle class" more probably in their whole lives than they did at that conventio

for $1 trillion budget spirit united states senate. have you as her this guy named harry reid in the senate? i take that as a yes. they have not bothered to pass a budget in three years. we have this law that says every year congress, by april 15 which is a tax day for every american, it is a tax day for congress. haven't not doing it for three years. this is not governing. this is kicking in the can. this is blaming other people. this is not responsibility. we have got to get this budget under control or else we will end up just like europe. if you practic european economics, you get european results. the last thing, guess what. most of our jobs, they come from businesses like this. they come from successful small businesses. we need to champion small businesses. you know what? when people are successful in businesses, that is a good thing. that is nothing to be ashamed of. that is a good thing. take a look at the peter built trucks, parts, and equipment company. the 67 employees here. this business pays their taxes as individuals. he

the united states one month later. despite the many differences between our two countries, we have some important similarities. both presidents might deny this, but it is true. both countries are debating the fundamental relationship between state and society. what guarantees that our governments will nprovide to all our citizens, and especially the most vulnerable? who would pay for the guarantees? what mechanisms need to be strengthened to ensure that courtroom and rights and fundamental fairness are protected? these are fundamental issues, and neither country is handling the debate very well. the elections are influenced by another unfortunate policy that our two countries share. the united states and venezuela are anomalies, holdouts in the hemisphere in that they do not provide public financing for political campaigns. as a matter of fact, the u.s. does offer public financing for presidential campaigns, which my opponents and i accepted with a running for office. but now the candice reject the financing and the li

what i think is they sensed the united states withdrawing, being weak, the united states not reacting with strength, with the way it should, and i think that's a recipe for disaster in the future. host: dan balls in the "washington post" saying it's time for romney to spell out his agenda. what does he need to do? guest: i think he could be more specific about what he wants to do. he said last week he had an economic plan, that would not decrease taxes on the wealthy, would not increase taxes on anyone, he could be more specific about that, i think. but i think the real case that he has to make is what happens if we have four more years, can we stand four more years of this. i think, my view is the country is being wrecked, that we are going downhill. maybe the most important statistic is not the economic stuff, which you hear endlessly about, unemployment and middle class family income and so on, but national morale, 57 percent of americans think we're in decline as a country and as a civilization. that's pathetic. this is what's happened to morale, our sense of selves if they want m
